El héroe de las mil caras.

"Furthermore, we have not even to risk the adventure alone; for the heroes of all time have gone before us; the labyrinth is thoroughly known; we have only to follow the thread of the hero-path. And where we had thought to find an abomination, we shall find a god; where we had thought to slay another, we shall slay ourselves; where we had thought to travel outward, we shall come to the center of our own existence; where we had thought to be alone, we shall be with all the world.”
-Joseph Campbell

"The Hero of the Thousand Faces" by Joseph Campbell is perhaps one of my favorite books. I do not remember very well how I discovered it but I know it was about ten years ago that it came to my hands in some very trashy photocopies. This year, I talked about him in one of the episodes of my podcast (EP 04 - "The hero we all are"), so, I decided to buy it to re-read it in the original language. If you have the opportunity, do not hesitate to acquire it, it is a book that brings together great myths of humanity and its relationship with the deepest themes of the soul. For me it is an essential book that gives a lot of inner strength and self-knowledge to the reader, a book to which you have to return again and again, each time one chapter in our life ends and another begins.
